In December 2011, my family and I packed our bags and embarked on a ten day, 5000km + road trip from Port Elizabeth, South Africa to our former home country, Zimbabwe. We got to the border and spent 7 and a half hours in over 45 degrees and no shade, waiting our turn to cross the border. It was an  incredibly hot day and before it got far too unbearable, I managed to capture a few images (before getting threatened to be arrested). 

This is the first real photographic series I shot, and went on to study photography a year later.
