Women in Male Dominate Sports

I shot this series in my second year at university as my elective project. This project is where we get to chose our own topic and what we want to focus on. I decided that I wanted to create a series of portraits of women in male dominated sports. The sports that I have based my project on are, and have always been, male dominated. From when they started, up until today, they are still seen as "male dominated". In the past it has been seen as "unladylike" for women to participate in sports such as these. It was amazing to meet all of these ladies and just see how passionate they all are about what they do, how hard they train, and how they've overcome the "male stereotype" of their sport.
